Introduction: Nauru, the world’s smallest republic, is an oval-shaped outcrop, and is an island located in the west central Pacific Ocean. situated in the Central Pacific, west of Kiribati. It is surrounded by a reef which is exposed at low tide.

Tourism: Much of this island has been stripped due to its phosphate mining. Nauru is not a typical tourist destination and as such has little to offer. Diving around the reefs is good and there are some sunken World War II wrecks to explore too.

Climate: Nauru has a tropical climate with a dry season from March - October and a wet season from November - February with average humidity between 70 to 80% all year. Average annual rainfall is 18 inches with most falling during the wet season when monsoons occur. Average temperature ranges are from 23 to 32 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
