Tourism: Tourists generally start their journey in Budapest a city of two parts Buda and Pest. Buda is the older, more graceful, part with cobbled streets and medieval buildings, Pest is the commercial centre. The capital is a lively city with museums showing the immence history of this Country. Venture out and you will come across plains, resort-lined lakes, Baroque towns, and rustic villages. Hungary's other attractions include sampling its quality wines, 'taking the waters' in a relaxing thermal spa, or bird-watching in some of the best spots in Europe.

Climate: Hungary has a continental climate. Spring and early summer are the wettest seasons with rainfall often occurring in heavy downpours. Winters are cold with snow cover lasting for long periods of around 30 to 40 days while the Danube River is also frozen over for long periods. Average annual rainfall is 25 inches while average annual temperature ranges in Budapest are from -4 to 1 degrees Celsius in January to 16 to 28 degrees Celsius in July.
